Operating since 1969, Zona Franca Romana is the pioneer industrial free zone park of the Dominican Republic. We are a privately owned and operated industrial park whose main focus is to ensure our clients’ success. We are strategically located in the heart of the Caribbean, in the southeast region of the Dominican Republic. Our advantageous geographical position, and that of the Dominican Republic, facilitates the daily management of your service operations and your company’s needs.
Mission – To provide our clients with the best possible work environment through our infrastructure, services, and administration, allowing them to focus on production and obtaining success.
Vision – To always be a supportive, effective administration to our clients, whilst maintaining our quality infrastructure and service.
Values – Commitment, Loyalty, Teamwork, Ethics, Reliability, and Quality
Our industrial parks are located just two hours away by plane and three days by sea from the United States of America. We are just 10 minutes from La Romana International Airport, 40 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, one hour from Las Americas International Airport, and 90 kilometers from Puerto Caucedo, the most modern and efficient port in the Caribbean.
La Romana has traditionally been home to an extensive labor force that has vast experience in the manufacturing of medical products, electronics, technology, clothing, textiles, jewelry, rugs, furniture, and many other products under the highest quality standards for exportation.
Zona Franca Romana’s quality infrastructure is based on our ability to design and construct buildings to meet our clients’ needs and requirements, allowing them to focus solely on their product.
Our engineering and maintenance departments work tirelessly around the clock to make sure our clients’ needs and issues are taken care of.
We also offer our clients many benefits, such as competitive energy prices with one of the most trustworthy and consistent electrical services of all the free zone parks in the country. Due to our status as “a non-regulated entity,” one of the most prestigious electrical companies supplies us at a very favorable cost per KWh.
Recognized European and American telecommunication companies offer their high tech services and support to many companies within our ZFR parks. These companies include:
Our abundant supply of water is provided by our parent company, Central Romana Corporation Ltd., which controls and operates our own potable water source.
Central Romana Corporation, Ltd., through its subsidiary Airport Management Services, Ltd., offers its ZFR clients a modern international airport located in La Romana.
This airport has the capacity to manage intercontinental flights and has been fully operational since December 16, 2000. American Airlines, Panorama Airlines, Jet Blue, and many other important airlines and charter flights provide their daily services to the United States and Europe.
An efficient highway system connects our parks to all the main airports and marine docks of the Dominican Republic. Major cargo transport companies with the capacity to handle 20, 40, and 45-foot containers service our ZFR parks on daily basis.
